Abilene Cattle Town 1871

Handle 19th Century artifacts and explore Randy Jones’ illustrations of Abilene in Elspeth Leacock and Susan Buckley’s book, Places in Time. Step into the picture and imagine the life of a cowboy. Write a poem or act out a scene from the illustration. We will help you all along the way!

School Research Books Available:
The FISD donated a large collection of  intermediate school level biographies and historical books to the museum in 2013.  They are available for research to young students by special request.   For a complete list of the books click HERE.
